About Smart-Irrigation.com
Smart-Irrigation.com is an independent information site about irrigation technology and water-saving programs. We cover two audiences:
- Homeowners, especially on Colorado's Front Range: smart sprinkler controllers, sensors, watering rules, and utility rebates.
- Farms and ranches: irrigation systems, scheduling, soil moisture monitoring, and cost-share programs such as NRCS EQIP.
TODO (Diana): Add a sentence about who runs the site and why (for example, your connection to Colorado Springs or to irrigation), and any relevant experience you want to share. Do not list credentials you don't hold.
How we research
- We rely on primary sources wherever we can: water utilities, USDA NRCS, the EPA WaterSense program, Colorado State University Extension, and manufacturers' own specification pages.
- Every factual claim with a number in it links to its source. If we could not verify something, we leave it out or say it is unverified.
- We have not hands-on tested the products we describe. Comparisons are based on published specifications, not our own trials. If that changes, we will say so on the page.
- Rebates and programs change, often every year. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed. Always confirm terms with the program before you buy.
How the site is funded
Right now the site has no advertising and no affiliate links. In the future we may earn commissions from some product links or show ads. If we do, we will label it clearly. See our affiliate disclosure. Payment will never change what our guides say about rebates, programs, or the facts.
